Industrial mechanic

Job description

Under the authority of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Mechanic is called upon to install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot in order to meet productivity, quality and safety objectives for all production equipment. In addition, he/she carries out the actions inherent to the organization’s preventive maintenance program, thus optimizing the organization’s operational efficiency.

Tasks

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Inspect and check the equipment to improve their quality and reliability;
  • Inspect and adjust the equipment on the production line;
  • Follow-up and make adjustments from the preventive maintenance software;
  • Ensure the good functioning of certain production parts and adjust them when necessary, while complying with the safety guidelines;
  • Constant verification of the production equipment to detect any defect and report it to the supervisor;
  • Comply with the sanitation requirements and good manufacturing practices according to the HACCP;
  • Comply with the lockout procedures at all times.
